#also, yesterday (although i'm writing this at around 12:30am, so really earlier today would be a more accurate description, but when i say "yesterday" or "today" here just know that i'm referring to new years eve) i had a bunch of friends over to play twilight imperium and it was super fun
#which is super relieving, because i've been kind of worrying about it for the last couple of weeks
#but yeah it seemed like everyone had a good time and i also had a good time and it worked out pretty much as perfectly as it could have gone
#that being said, i am kind of losing my voice a little bit from spending 12 hours today explaining the rules of a board game (because i was the only one in the group who had played before) and also occasionally having to talk over conversations to explain those rules
#but honestly even the rules explaining parts were cool/fun and losing my voice a little bit is totally worth it
#and it's not like i'm really fully losing my voice or anything; i'm just a little raspy or whatever
#anyway yeah, it was super fun and if anyone reading this post hasn't played twilight imperium i would definitely reccomend it

#honestly it's kind of making me want to go back and replay sonic saves the world
#or at least finish playing masterpiece

#like, this is the first time that the year on this blog has changed years thus far, which is like, kind of crazy
#also it's weird to type "2026", because 6 is further away from 2 and 0 than 5 is, so it's weird.
#anyway yeah, the moral of this story is that new years is weird even after nearly two weeks
#i should end all of my posts with a moral this is fun
#second moral of the story is that adding stupid morals to the end of stories is fun

#it especially sucks, because it's not actually the finals period yet (that's later in the week) and we're not actually doing anything for finals in that class, so like, why is it today rather than on actual finals
#i really am not a big fan of spanish class in general though
#and i'm like, kind of worried about how i'm going to do on this final

#there are a lot of them that i really like
#but like this is one of my favourites
#i love xkcd though
#i am one of those people who will be like "oh there's an xkcd for that"
#except that i do it in real life and people have to just wait for like a minute or so while i try to find it

#i will say though it is kind of funny seeing the 5-year-olds or whoever saying things like this is so hard it took me 2 hours to beat
#on like a boring 5ish% clear rate level that i made in like half an hour
#i also think its interesting how as more people played the level, the clear rate went down significantly
#it used to be like 9%
#also bonus fun fact, when i started writing this post it was at 70th and now its 62nd

#like, with college apps, i had to do an essay and a couple of small supplementals that i could at least somewhat reuse between schools
#but with this its like over a thousand words per scholarship and they aren't even like on the same topic or anything
#and like, i'm not even applying to that many things
#idk, it's just kind of annoying
